Thank You, and Happy New Year

Five years in, and we’re feelin’ good.

People of Earth.

I’m much obliged for the ongoing support of those of you who regularly click on the site to check out what’s been going on in the world of arts, entertainment and pop culture, from yours truly. 2015 was big for the site, in that we made the big jump from blog to ‘proper’ website; and the results – as you can hopefully see – speak for themselves.

Looks nice, don’t it? This was entirely the result of some highly talented design and website management people – Natalija Brunovs and Michele Ong, both of whom ARE TOPS. Need something tech-y done? Need something to look better? These are the people to call on. I’m happy to endorse them and recommend them without hesitation.

I also have nothing but praise for the good folks at Madman Films, Palace Films, Pan Macmillan publishers, Black Panda PR and Earshot Media for a steady supply of quality material for review purposes. Its folks like these who provide support to minnows like us and keep us from being lost the miasma and clumsy metaphors.

Also, we had some excellent written content supplied during the course of the year from some very able scribes: David Whitely, James Cameron, Kate Danger and Tim Leggoe. They’re the goods. If you would like to contribute to the site, or know someone who would, throw us an email.

Since there’s praise being doled out, I have nothing but good things to say about Kath Cameron, because aside from being an excellent photographer, I have a serious crush on her.

So there you have it. For the record, the bests of 2015 were as follows: film, Inside Out. Music, Alabama Shakes, Sound and Color. Books, Purity, by Jonathan Franzen. TV, House of Cards. Read, watch, listen, enjoy all of these.

The forthcoming year will hopefully provide innumerable items about which to wax lyrical, so let’s just charge our glasses to 2016 and beyond. See you all on the other side.

Matt Reddin
